So often in general aviation we hear stories about how sound aeronautical decision making (ADM) "could have" prevented this or that. I wonder how often we get to hear how good ADM actually did work to keep folks safe and break the accident chain. On a recent club activity, we had a great example of how this club promotes aviation safety and how being in the club makes flying more enjoyable.
A big thanks to Scott Kirkland and Gary Cooper for coordinating our club fly-out event to Mt Pleasant (KOSA) to visit the Mid-America Flight Museum on Saturday May 7, 2022. In all we had 27 members and guests and 10 airplanes (including all of the club planes) out there.
Let's face it, these planes in our club get a lot of use and they tend to get a bit grimy from time to time. This past weekend a group of club members got together to give a couple of the planes a good washing. Many thanks to Gary Cooper, Bill Moore, Larry Calton, Chris Schreiner and Allison, and Yan Xiao. The team was able to get N6833C and N733NB cleaned up. It takes a bit of hard work to get the belly of the plane all cleaned up. But it looks like the crew had the right equipment.
